WALKING IN THE CLOUDS

So today we had to get up at 4:30 to drive to the rain forest. It took about 3 hours to get there. Then we found out the canopy walk is the highest and longest walk it the world (there are only five in the world).  It was by far the coolest thing we have done on this trip.  The bridge shook like crazy but it was still a lot of fun. There were 7 bridges that we walked on during the canopy walk.

After that we tried real coconut juice, honey, and a coco pod. Then we went to a private place were they keept endangered animals. It was cool that two people dedacated their lives to helping animals.

Then we went to the old slave fort called Elmina Castle.  From the outside it was a really sweet looking building and it was a really sad, interesting story behind the castle.  From the castle you had a beautiful view of the ocean and the small fishing town.  After that we went to lunch at a really nice hotel, which had a pool that we all wanted to jump in it.  Then we had lunch and headed home but it took sooooooooooooo long because the traffic was horrible.  When we got to Mercia’s house she gave Haley, Sara, and I these beautiful African outfits so now I have a total of 3 African outfits 🙂 now we are sitting in our room waiting for dinner.  Coming home on Tuesday 🙂 – Maria Meacher
