As I ponder what to write, all I can think is God is good, all the time. My experience in Ghana has been a lifetime dream. I have always since becoming a Christian (at 19 years old) had a heart for missionaries, and their mission work in other countries.
Day 9 in Ghana was an adventure, all of its own. We went to our last village school on this day. Twerebo Village was by far the most remote and poorest of all the villages we have visited. The roads were treacherous. So treacherous that we got stuck on the way out of the village and had to be rescued. The rescue came my way of a Ghanaian with a front end loader, lifting the front of the bus and pulling it forward.

Once again, the Ghanaian people, were happy, welcoming, and very appreciative when we arrived at their village. We planned to do a mini reading camp with the first, second and third grade classes. And to give modesty packs to the older girls. We did indeed do this, but so much more took place.

We gave the younger students, shorts and dresses made by friends of Debi, supplies for teachers and lollipops. We were able to interact with all the children from KG through JSS, which is middle school. Games were played with the older students for quite some time. I brought a soccer ball for each of the village schools and they were a big hit. Although, at this village, it turned into a volleyball with the young men, Jason and Jose.

The middle school girls were excited to teach some Ghanaian playground games to the Sterling College girls during this time. Everyone had a great time and made some fun memories.

As I reflect back on all that we have done and accomplished over the past nine days, the four Village schools we have served in and the places we have been able to see; I can truly say to God be the glory, great things He has done.

I am so thankful that I’ve been able to be a part of this wonderful opportunity, GMH and Sterling College has afforded me. Thank you Jesus!
